Gratitude helps you fall in love with the life you already have…What a simple and yet powerful concept.
For me, since I started been more grateful it has become a ritual to start each painting with a grateful heart. I stare at the blank canvas and say a little prayer. I set my intentions and get in a grateful mindset. Before I start the painting process, I remind myself of my “why”.
Practicing mindfulness reminds me of how lucky I am to be living my passion and help ignite a renewed passion in my art. By stating what I am grateful for, I frame my world in abundance, positivity, and opportunity.
I also recently started a gratitude journal with my son Jordan. Every night before bed we write down one thing, we are grateful for. It can be as simple as “my special blanket”, like he once said. I am teaching him to see the good in what is currently going on in our lives.
I love the quote I once read, “Gratitude turns what we have into enough”. It’s so true! Some people believe that that gratitude is a skill. So, I encourage you to practice gratitude.
This collection of paintings were all created with a grateful heart. Each painting is a reminder that what we have is already enough.
I hope you enjoy!
